David is commonly known as one of the top British RX Drivers. Starting at just 16 in minicross, the one make British series, in 2001 David took overall victory I the Championship before moving up to Supernational where David struggled with a new car build and unreliability before taking a short sabbatical.
David returned to the British Championship in 2007 with an ex Huypers Mitsubishi Evo Supercar, David again was out there showing his speed, beating other higher quality machinery with a car a fraction of the cost. After showing he could handle a supercar in 2010 David rented a Ex Liam Doran Mk6 Fiesta, David was competitive all season long and the highlight of the season was victory at the Belgium circuit, massmechlen. David went on to claim 3rd in the Championship.
2011 saw David purchase the Ex Doran machine and now backed by Best Buy, David had aimed on taking the championship title back to Newcastle. Mid way through the season, David was given the opportunity to test the OMSE ran Mk7 Fiesta in Sweden alongside Marcus Gronholm after a successful Test Best Buy decided to run David in the remaining races in the OMSE car for back in the UK to help with the Championship fight but most of all to get settled with the team and car before 2012 which would David’s biggest season of his career. David went on to finish 3rd in the British Championship after some tough races, but confirmed with Best Buy his position alongside Marcus for the 2012 GRC season. David had a great year in GRC although the results didn’t not reflect his speed, unreliability and other peoples incidents costing David any podium positions.
David is ready to come back fighting in Loheac filling in for Jacque in the Albatec Racing 208.
